Green Events at Mt. Washington:
The Mt.Washington campus upholds Johns Hopkins University’s Climate Action & Sustainability Plan goal to commit JHU on a pathway to zero waste by offering green event support services through Aramark and the Mt. Washington Conference Center.
Aramark will:
- Set up the correct waste streams for your event.
- Help you choose one of the following approved and certified JHU Preferred Green Caterers (PGCs) (caterers supply compostable service ware at no extra cost):
- Culinary Architecture
- Gourmet Girls
- Rouge
- Provide clean-up services after your event
If you are placing your catering order directly to a caterer for an event within your suite, it is strongly encouraged that you specify “compostable only” when placing your order. Please note that serving equipment and supplies are not always compostable, even from PGCs, so be sure to separate them properly when cleaning up after your event.
If you need additional compost waste bins for an event within your suite, please contact Transwestern via an Angus work ticket or call 443-997-0680.
