Severe weather alert for Monday, March 16
The National Weather Service is forecasting severe weather across the Baltimore and Washington regions this afternoon and evening.
Johns Hopkins University is announcing an early dismissal beginning at 1 p.m. and is canceling in-person activities, classes and events at its Baltimore campuses starting at 3 p.m. on Monday, March 16.
The Hopkins Bloomberg Center in Washington, D.C., will close at 1 p.m.
Operations at both locations will return to normal on March 17.
Campus Services:
Essential services will continue.
Transportation:
- Blue Jay Shuttle’s Night Ride, normally scheduled to operate 6 p.m. – 2 a.m. will be suspended and not operate tonight.
- East Baltimore Blue Jay Shuttle will operate as scheduled (5:30 p.m. – 12 a.m.).
- All other services will operate as scheduled until 4 p.m.
