West Access Road closure near Hopkins Student Center project

As part of the continued construction on the Hopkins Student Center (HSC), work will begin on Monday, April 28, to replace the West Access Road, located east of Krieger, Maryland, and Croft halls. Construction will continue through the end of June, Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Access Impacts During Construction:

  • No pedestrian or vehicle traffic (except emergency vehicles) will be allowed on the West Access Road during construction hours.
  • After the first two weeks, all access to the road must be coordinated in advance.

ADA and Building Access:

  • ADA pathways remain open throughout the work.
  • There’s a wheelchair ramp south of Croft Hall that leads to Wyman Quad. There is also ADA access into Krieger Hall.
  • Krieger Hall: Krieger is still accessible through the breezeway. The loading dock will not be accessible for the first two weeks.
  • Maryland Hall: The east entrances will be closed. These doors will be accessible in the event of an emergency.
  • Croft Hall: The northeast corner door will not be accessible.

We appreciate your patience during this time.
