Shriver Hall elevator upgrade

The Shriver Hall elevator is scheduled for a much-needed upgrade. Over the years, the elevator has experienced periodic reliability issues, and after careful consideration, we’ve determined that the time has come for a full modernization.

Beginning Monday, October 27, the elevator will be out of service while the upgrade is underway. We anticipate the work will be completed by the end of January 2026.

During this period, please note that Shriver Hall’s basement and first floor remain accessible without stairs, providing access to classrooms, offices, and the Shriver Hall auditorium. However, the Auditorium Balcony and the Clipper Room will only be accessible by stairs.

We recognize that this may cause some inconvenience and sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding as we make this important improvement to enhance the building’s reliability and accessibility for years to come.
