Jay Murphy joined Johns Hopkins Facilities & Real Estate as the senior director of Facility Operations. Previously, he served as the director for Project Development and Delivery Strategy at the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, where he was responsible for developing projects to support its six-year, $12+ billion capital program.

Jay’s career includes serving over 27 years with the Navy leading large, complex engineering services and facility maintenance organizations worldwide. Jay is a registered professional engineer with a Bachelor of Science from the U.S. Naval Academy and a Master of Engineering from the University of Florida.
