Bob McLean

Vice President, Facilities

Bob McLean is the vice president for Facilities. Bob joined Johns Hopkins in 2015 and is responsible for planning, design & construction, facility operations, sustainability, and transportation services.

Bob joined Hopkins after 30 years in the U.S. Navy with extensive experience leading large engineering and facility service organizations. His last Naval posting was in Naples, Italy, where he led 1,200 military and civilian personnel and managed a physical plant of 9,000 acres and 6,000 facilities valued at over $9 billion. Bob is a professional engineer and holds a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy and a master’s of mechanical engineering from Catholic University.
